How it works

1

Browse bases

See composition, weight and width for every greige base we hold as running stock.

2

Choose your shade

Give us a Pantone TCX code — from your own swatch book, not a screen guess.

3

Pay & receive your dip

We send the base to the dye house and ship your physical lab dip to you.

4

Approve or revise

Happy with it? Approve and we'll place your bulk order. Not quite right? Request a revision.

Terms & conditions

1. How lab dips work

1.1 Lab dips are struck by our dye chemists on the base fabric you select and posted to you for physical approval.

1.2 Lab dip turnaround is 7 to 10 business days from order placement. Shipping adds a further 5 to 10 business days depending on destination. Allow up to four weeks for the full process.

1.3 The base fee includes shipping to one address. Enter that address at checkout, as this is where lab dips will be sent. For a copy to a second address, contact us at hello@circularsourcing.world.

1.4 International orders may attract customs duties or import charges. These are payable by the buyer.

1.5 Approval must be given in writing, either through your tracking link or by email to hello@circularsourcing.world.

2. Costs, credits and revisions

2.1 A base fee applies per lab dip, payable in full at the time of request. The base fee varies by fabric and includes shipping. Multiple lab dips can be requested at checkout and each is charged a base fee.

2.2 A lab dip order is not a bulk order and does not reserve fabric or production capacity.

2.3 Approve your lab dip within three weeks of delivery to claim your credit. Once approved within that window, the base fee is applied as a credit against the cost of a bulk order of the same SKU.

2.4 One credit applies per bulk colour order. If you order ten lab dips and proceed with one colour, one base fee is redeemable.

2.5 The credit must be redeemed against a bulk order placed within two weeks of approval. Credits are not transferable between SKUs and hold no cash value.

2.6 Base fees are non-refundable where no bulk order is placed.

2.7 Up to two additional revisions on the same fabric may be requested at a flat rate of $25.00 AUD (ex GST) per revision. Revision fees are non-refundable and are not redeemable as credits. Further revisions beyond two are quoted case by case.

3. Colour, variation and tolerance

3.1 Colours shown on screen, in printed material, or referenced against a Pantone or other colour standard are indicative only. Screen calibration, ambient lighting, printing process and paper stock all affect how a colour reads. Pantone references are developed for paper and ink and do not translate exactly to textiles.

3.2 The same dye recipe produces different results across fibres, blends, yarn types, fabric constructions and finishes. Depth and tone vary between a woven and a knit, between a matte and a lustrous yarn, and between fabrics of different weight, even where the recipe is unchanged.

3.3 A lab dip is the only reliable way to confirm colour on a specific quality. Approval must be given against the physical lab dip. Approval given against a screen image or printed reference is not accepted as a colour standard.

3.4 Where you supply a physical swatch or standard for us to match to, we match to that swatch as received. We are not responsible for variation caused by fading, soiling or age of a supplied standard.

3.5 Not every shade is achievable on every base. Some depths, brights and fluorescents cannot be reached on undyed or recycled bases, or on certain fibre blends. Where a target colour cannot be achieved we will advise you and refund the base fee for that dip.

3.6 Colour varies between dye lots, between rolls within a lot, and along the length of a single roll. Variation within commercial tolerance is treated as conforming and is not grounds for rejection, return, price adjustment or claim. Commercial tolerance means variation that may be visible on side by side comparison with the approved lab dip but does not materially change the shade as approved.

3.7 Two samples matched under one light source may appear different under another. Where lighting conditions are critical to the end use, specify the required assessment light source before lab dips are struck.

3.8 Lab dip approval confirms shade only. It does not confirm colour fastness, shrinkage, handfeel or any other performance property. Fastness data is available on request for a fee before bulk is confirmed.

4. From lab dip to bulk order

4.1 An approved lab dip is matched to a specific greige batch, dyestuff lot and mill process at the time it is struck.

4.2 Confirm your bulk quantity within 14 days of written approval to secure production from the same greige batch and dye lot. Beyond 14 days the mill may require re-matching and a further lab dip round, which will affect lead time and may affect price.

4.3 Greige availability is not reserved by a lab dip order. Where the base fabric sells out before bulk is confirmed, we will advise you and offer the nearest available alternative.

4.4 Minimum order quantity for bulk dyeing is 100 metres per colour/fabric.

4.5 Dyed quantities are subject to a tolerance of plus or minus 5% of the ordered quantity. You will be invoiced for the quantity delivered.

4.6 Bulk dyeing lead time is 4 weeks from confirmation and payment, plus shipping.

4.7 Buyers requiring a single continuous shade across a production run should order the full quantity in one lot, including allowance for cutting loss and replacements.

4.8 A repeat order is matched to the approved lab dip standard, not to a previously delivered batch. We cannot guarantee a repeat order will match a prior delivery unless a continuity arrangement is agreed in writing.

5. Cancellations and claims

5.1 Dyed-to-order fabric is produced to your specification and cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once dyeing has commenced.

5.2 Claims relating to shade, quantity or fabric condition must be made in writing within five days of delivery, with the affected material unwashed and uncut. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
